by ahsialie on January 8, 2012

Thinking of getting a new desktop or laptop? We should consider what processor we will use. Now, we will do a simpler comparison on the two most powerful and popular processor in the market, the Intel Core i5 and i7.

FEATURES

After the release of Core i3 and i5 dual core, the new generation of processors are made, the Intel Core i5 and i7 quad- core There were just some few features enable and disable in each other. The chart below will tell us what’s with the processor feature.

PERFORMANCE

If you want quick and fast processor, choose i5. It’s cheaper and good if you’ll only use it for browsing and will do some multi-tasking. But if you want a quicker and faster processor, choose the i7, though i7 is good for those who really work down at the computer. Gaming and editing is better with the i7 rather than the i5.

COST

Obviously, i5 is more affordable than the i7. It only cost around $80 or less than buying and i7 worth more than $80. But it always depends on the user on what he wants to buy.

USERS

The Intel i7 are the processors for video processors, gamer and those who will use the hyper-threading.
The Intel i5 are best for home and business use. School works, documents, emails, internet browsing and video streaming are really good using the i5.

But if you want a processor that can do anything, I suggest you should get the Intel i7 because it so powerful, that’s why they called it the “MONSTER PROCESSOR“.

CONCLUSION

Of course, I will go for i7. You’ll never know what you will do in your computer in the future. In any case, i7 is better even if cost more. Though if your just doing business, documents and internet browsing, its better to get the i5.
